Warmup 2 09.10.2012
1) The seal recieves 1% of energy and the shark recieves 0.1% of energy because each animal higher on the food chain gets 10% of the animal before its energey. So, since 1% is 10% of 10% the seal gets 1% of energy. The same goes for the shark giving it 0.1% of energy.
2) A producer/ consumer interaction would be deer eating grass. The deer would be the consumer and it eats the grass or the producer. This would thereby be a transfer of the 10% law of energy. A pretator prey relationship would be a lion eating a deer. The lion and the deer are bothe consumers, but the lion is higher up on the food chain, and the 10% law diagram.
3) The primary consumer would be the consumer which eats the producer or the first consumer on the energy pyramid. On this exact pyramid the primary consumer would be clams/ muscles.
